El metro de Washington D.C. // Washington D.C.´s metro

The metro of this city is the one that more has impressed me up to the moment. The first time that I used it, I remember that I asked where the most nearby entry was and they indicated to me towards a big circular wall that it was not looking like any other tube station entrance that it had seen. In all that I appeared i had dizziness (and it that I do not have).

One enters him from a few mechanical stairs that have great hanging. When we were going towards our hotel on the same night, the stairs of the meter were not ignited and we had to lower them step to step, to the half of them, already we were starting seeing the double steps! It was a "miracle" that we were not falling on having trodden on any evil!.

The network has grown up to managing to have five lines, 86 stations and 171 km (106,3 miles).
