De entre todos los fines de semana del año, escogimos visitar el museo el del viernes santo, que es el puente festivo más largo del año en Reino Unido (del 29 de marzo al 1 de abril). Colas y más colas, gente por todas partes. La parte que más me gustó es la del Tyrannosaurus Rex, está tan logrado que los niños pequeños lloran al verlo... ¡pobres! (ver vídeo abajo).
We chose to go the museum on Good Friday, which is the longest holiday weekend of the year in the UK (from March 29 to April 1) and the worst to visit this place. Queues and more queues, people everywhere. The part that I liked more was the Tyrannosaurus Rex. It is so accomplished that small children cry at the sight ... (see video below).
Es uno de los tres grandes museos de la Exhibition Road, del barrio de South Kensington -los otros son el Museo de la Ciencia y el Museo Victoria and Albert-. Nada más entrar al hall abovedado nos encontramos con el gran Diplodocus.

El museo reúne unos 70 millones de piezas distribuidas en cinco colecciones principales: botánica, entomología, mineralogía, paleontología y zoología. El museo tiene renombre mundial por su investigación, especializada en taxonomía, identificación y conservación. Se nos olvidó visitar la galería de la tierra y nos quedamos con las ganas de verlo. Tendré que volver otra vez cuando vaya a visitar los otros museos...
