Las Ramblas, Barcelona

Todo turista que visite Barcelona tiene que pasar como visita obligada por las Ramblas, el paseo más concurrido y lleno de turistas de la ciudad. Comienza en la plaza de Cataluña y termina, en el puerto, con la famosa estatua de Cristóbal Colón, llegando al Maremagnun.

Every tourist who visits Barcelona has to happen as visit forced by the Ravines, the walk most crowded and full tourists' of the city. It begins in the square of Cataluña and ends, in the port, with Christopher Colón's famous statue, coming to the Maremagnun.

La Rambla era un antiguo torrente de aguas residuales demarcado por las murallas medievales y que sirve además para delimitar el lado suroeste del Barrio gótico. Se cree que debe su nombre a "ramla", arena en árabe, En él nos podemos encontrar desde floristerías, kioscos de prensa, actores callejeros muy bien caracterizados, pintores, y hasta pajarerías. Abarca sólo 1,5 km, pero siempre está abarrotado.

The Ramblas was a former torrent of waste water limited by the medieval walls and that serves in addition to delimit the side southwest of the Gothic Neighborhood. It is believed that it owes its name to "ramla", sand in Arab, In it we can find from florist's shops, kiosks of press, street very well characterized actors, painters, and up to pet shops. It includes only 1,5 km, but always it is crammed.

Según íbamos avanzando por las Ramblas, nos encontramos con el Palacio de Virreina,  el mercado de la Boquería y el gran teatro Liceo, donde se pueden llegar a disfrutar de sus ballets y óperas. Nos desviamos por una calle lateral (no me acuerdo de como se llamaba) y llegamos a la Plaza Real, muy bonita con sus palmeras y soportales, famosa por su mercadillo del fin de semana que reune a coleccionistas, de entre otras cosas, monedas y sellos. En esta plaza como hay varios restaurantes con sus terrazas decidimos hacer un descanso, y tomarnos unas cervecitas.

As we were advancing for the Ramblas, we meet the Vicereine's Palace, the market the Boquería and the great theatre Lyceum, where they can manage to be enjoyed his ballets and operas. We turn aside for a lateral street (I do not remember of like it was calling) and we come to the Plaza Real, very nice square with his palms and porches, famous for his street market of the weekend that re-joins collectors, of among other things, coins and stamps. In this square since there are several restaurants with his terraces we decide to do a rest, and to drink a few beers.
