The Commemorative Museum of the Holocaust (USHMM) is the ' official monument ' commemorated all the victims and survivors of the Holocaust in the USA. Like the previous museum, it is adjacent to the National Mall in Washington, DC, the USHMM devotes itself to help the leaders and citizens of the world to face the hatred, to prevent that genocide, to promote the human dignity, and to strengthen the democracy.
Se abrió al público en 1993 con el apoyo de Miles Lerman, que recaudó aproximadamente $190 millones de dólares para la construcción del Museo y la adquisición de artefactos. Cuenta la historia cronológica del Holocausto nazi a través de videos, imágenes y testimonios reales, objetos recogidos de campos de concentración como una representación a tamaño real de las "cabañas de madera" donde vivían los miles de refugiados.
It was opened to the public in 1993 by the support of Thousands Lerman, which collected approximately 190 $ millions of dollars for the construction of the Museum and the acquisition of appliances. Nazi counts the chronological history of the Holocaust across videoes, images and royal testimonies, objects gathered from concentration camps as a representation to royal size of the " cabins of wood " where the thousands of refugees were living.
Otras partes de la exposición permanente son la Torre de rostros y el salón del recuerdo. La primera es una torre de tres pisos en el edificio que está alineada con cerca de un millar de fotografías de la vida cotidiana antes del Holocausto en el pequeño shtetl (pueblo), de Eišiškės, Lituania.Y la segunda, es el monumento oficial a las víctimas y sobrevivientes del Holocausto en el Museo. Es posible encender velas en memoria de los víctimas del evento en esta sala y es el lugar que visitan los dignatarios al entrar el Museo.
Other parts of the permanent exhibition are the Tower of faces and the "Remenber´s lounge". The first one is a tower of three floors in the building that is aligned with near a thousand of photographies of the daily life before the Holocaust in the small shtetl (town), of Eisiskes, Lithuania. And the second one, is the official monument to the victims and survivors of the Holocaust in the Museum. It is possible to ignite candles in memory of the víctimas of the event in this room and is the place that the officials visit on having entered the Museum.

En este museo podemos ver: las escalas de comparación de cabellos naturales "rubios" (son muestras de pelo reales), de los ojos "claros" o de los tipos de "narices" para corroborar si la persona según sus características físicas pertenecía a la raza aria o era de otra, y de cuál concretamente; los vagones en donde muchos fueron llevados a las cámaras de gas; los famosos pijamas de rayas de los campos de concentración; o los miles de zapatos raídos de cuero, apilados unos encima de los otros en los laterales de una pasarela. Por lo que podéis imaginaros que este museo no es para admirar la "belleza" de su catálogo de objetos expuestos, pues todo tiene una fuerte carga emocional y más de uno se le salta una lagrimilla.
In this museum we can see: the scales of comparison of natural "blond" hairs (they are royal samples of hair), of the "clear" eyes or of the types of "noses" to corroborate if the person according to his physical characteristics concerned to the Aryan race or was of other one, and of which concretely; the coaches where many were taken to the gas chambers; the famous pijamas of stripes of the concentration camps; or the thousands of shoes scraped of leather, piled up some on others in the wings of a gangplank. For what you can imagine that this museum is not to admire the "beauty" of his catalogue of exposed objects, since everything has a strong emotional load and more of one skips a tear.

Cuando se entra por un ascensor a las salas donde se concentran la mayoría de las imágenes y objetos más "fuertes", avisan que no pueden visitarlo ni niños, ni personas con problemas del corazón ni personas que sean muy sensibles debido al fuerte impacto que causan las imágenes de los campos de exterminio (hay muchas imágenes de cadáveres) y las torturas. Por lo que crearon, en 1993 otra exposición paralela que hoy en día la visitan principalmente niños y grupos escolares. Esta sección se llama "Recuerde, los niños: La historia de Daniel", en las que se cuentan las peripecias de Daniel, un niño que no existe pero que resulta el compendio de varias historias reales.

For what they created, in 1993 another parallel exhibition that nowadays children and school groups visit her principally. This section calls "Remember, the children: Daniel's history ", in that they tell themselves the incidents of Daniel, a child who does not exist but who turns out to be the compendium of several royal histories.
Además, el dinero que se invierte en el museo no todo se lo llevan sus exposiciones, también se reparte para la investigación, por ejemplo, en un grupo de trabajo para la Cooperación Internacional, en un centro de Estudios Avanzados del Holocausto o en un archivo de sobrevivientes del Holocausto, que es uno de los más grande del mundo. De hecho, a la entrada del museo el visitante recibe una tarjeta de identificación que explica la historia de una víctima o superviviente del Holocausto (os he escaneado abajo la que me tocó, es la de Herta Scheer-krygier).
In addition, the money is invested in the museum not everything his exhibitions remove it, also it distributes for the investigation, for example, in a workgroup for the International Cooperation, in a center of Advanced Studies of the Holocaust or in a survivors' file of the Holocaust, which is one of them bigger of the world. In fact, at the entry of the museum the visitor receives a Identification Card that explains the history of a victim or survivor of the Holocaust (I you have scanned below the one that I touched, is that of Herta Scheer-krygier).
La visita completa del museo es larga ( 3 horas), por lo que en la entrada recomienda sólo ciertas partes dependiendo del tiempo que dispongamos. Para entrar en la Exhibición Permanente entre marzo y agosto, los visitantes deben adquirir unos pases, que están disponibles en el museo el día de la visita o en línea para un horario de servicio, pues sólo entregan un determinado número de tickets. No se permitían las fotografías, así que no puedo mostraros ninguna propia.
The complete visit of the museum is long (3 hours), for what in the entry it recommends only certain parts depending on the time that we arrange. To enter the Permanent Exhibition between March and August, the visitors must acquire a few passes, which are available in the museum the day of the visit or on line for a schedule of service, since only they deliver a certain number of tickets. The photographies were not allowed, so I cannot show you own any.
La verdad, merecío la pena visitarlo porque me impresionaron los videos, los objetos , la gran recopilación de murales e información acerca de la vida de Hitler, de las víctimas, de la historia en general del nazismo, ..., y podría no parar. Os dejó imágenes que ví en el museo y he encontrado en internet.
The truth, it was worth visiting it because the videoes, the objects impressed me, the great summary of murals and information brings over of the life of Hitler, of the victims, of the history in general of the Nazism..., and it might not stop.
